11 Million Passengers Used Kuwait International Airport During 2015

Acting Civil Aviation Department Manager Emad Jlowi said that there was a considerable increase in aviation traffic through Kuwait International Airport during 2015. Jlowi explained that over 11 million passengers had used the airport during 2015. 

Emad Al-Jlowi also added that the recent rain slightly affected the eastern runway at Kuwait International Airport and denied that the runway’s condition posed any threat to aviation safety. “We have cleaned the runway of all gravel,” he added, underlining that the department was very keen on achieving the highest levels of safety on the runway and was constantly removing all gravel from it. Jlowi added that the western runway will reopen next month once the current periodic maintenance operations are over. “The eastern runway will immediately be maintained then,” he underlined.
