2 Egyptians Arrested For Parking Vehicles In Sharq Area During Prayer Times

Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested for vehicles that were parked near mosques in Sharq area during prayer times. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security of the ministry explained that the police station of the area received a number of complaints from worshippers about theft of electronic components from their vehicles while they were praying in mosques.

Immediately, the General Investigations Department of Capital Governorate formed a team to conduct investigations and monitor the mosques during the prayer times. While some members of the team were monitoring a mosque in the area, they noticed a man approach a parked vehicle and use a tool to break the glass of the vehicle. They immediately arrested him and checked his details to discover he is an Egyptian expatriate.

When interrogated, he confessed to committing several such crimes and revealed the identity of his accomplice who received the stolen electronic components, reprogrammed them and sold them. After the second suspect was arrested, both were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
