2 Fake Cops Try To Rob Kuwaiti Man

Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested for impersonating securitymen and attempting to rob a Kuwaiti citizen, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

According to security sources, the citizen was waylaid in Hawally area by the two suspects who spoke to him in Kuwaiti dialect. 

He noticed that their vehicle had a flasher, and they identified themselves as policemen.

When they asked him for his civil ID, he asked them for their police IDs because he became suspicious. Within minutes, a patrol team stopped near them and arrested them. It was discovered that they are Egyptian expatriates. They were arrested and referred to Hawally Police Station.

‘No officers involved’: The Ministry of Interior has closed the file of the Bangladeshi expatriate who was arrested for helping expatriates pass the driving test in return for money, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the Bangladeshi has been referred to the Deportation Center.

Earlier the Bangladeshi, during interrogations had claimed that he did not act alone and that he was only a middleman and pointed a finger at one of the GTD officials.

However, the Driving Test Section of the General Traffic Department said the investigations concluded that no officers are involved in the scam.

Expats mugged by duo: Two unidentified Arabs have been arrested by police for impersonating police and robbing expatriates in the Governorate of Hawalli, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to security sources the expatriates caught one of the suspects after doubting his dialect and when he attempted to escape they sought help from passersby and caught both men and handed them over to police
