2 Persons Jailed For Involving In Murder Case

The Court of Cassation upheld the verdict of the Court of Appeals, which commuted the death sentence imposed by the Court of First Instance on two persons involved in a murder which occurred at the 360 Mall to 10 years in jail with hard labor for each of the suspects. According to the case file, the defendants were involved in a public brawl one night at the mall between two Kuwaitis and five others. One of the defendants stabbed a Kuwaiti, who was born in 1999 and identified as A.A., with a sharp object on the right side of the body that led to his death. Another defendant also stabbed another victim twice on the right shoulder. Officers from Hawally Detectives Unit, which is affiliated to the Crime Detectives General Department, arrested the defendants some hours after the incident. Each of the defendants admitted to their roles in the fight during investigation and they were later referred to the concerned authorities.
