34 Violators Arrested For Voilating Residency Law

Officers from the General Department for Residency Affairs arrested 34 violators of residency law during a surprise campaign they launched in Kabad area based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passport Affairs Major General Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. Majority of the arrested individuals were under the visa of article No. 20 (domestic visa).

According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the suspects, when interrogated, confessed that they are working as domestic labor during the day time and then for different sponsors after their day job. When their details were checked, the officers discovered that many were reported as absconding and some were also wanted for some other cases.
