47,862 Traffic Citations Reported In Security Campaign

The Ministry of Interior’s relations and security media department announced that traffic police launched sudden inspections in all six governorates last week (May 1-7) that resulted in filing 47,862 tickets, detaining one bike, locating four stolen vehicles, detaining 24 motorists for serious traffic violations they committed, referring 14 expats for deportation for driving without licenses and dealing with 1,558 accidents that caused 301 injuries.
