50 Laborers Protest For Salaries

Securitymen Thursday dispersed a crowd of 50 laborers who were seen demonstrating on Abdali Road at Kilo 43 to protest the nonpayment of their delayed salaries which their employer had promised to pay, says Al-Seyassah. According to a security source, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received the report about the workers’ strike along Abdali Road, a security team was immediately dispatched to the location. The workers explained to securitymen that they have not been paid salaries for months despite repeated promises by the company. The securitymen dispersed the protesting workers.
