67 Percent Companies Carrying Out Proactive Tests

Sixty-seven percent of the companies and institutions are carrying out proactive tests periodically to protect the IT infrastructure and vital data. These companies follow several methods to prevent employees from abusing the Internet and social media sites.

18 percent of the companies prevent employees from using the Internet, and other 18 percent ban the use of social networking websites, 42 percent ban access to inappropriate sites and 22 percent of the companies monitor the staff activity. The sources pointed out penetration into the system of the companies happen in three ways — 35 percent by the employees themselves, 36 percent by hackers and 29 percent due to the failure of the system.
