Interior Ministry Ready For Eid

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has finalized all necessary preparations for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, Relations and Security Media Director Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash said in a statement yesterday. Hashash added that following a meeting with various MOI sectors, Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad instructed all sectors to be on alert and properly deployed during the holiday to help the public enjoy the Eid. Hashash added that security plans include security and traffic, especially near shopping malls, children arcades, parks and recreation centers.

Furthermore, Hashash said that MOI’s central operations will be working on a 24/7 basis and will be ready to receive any reports on its hotline number 112. He also noted that the security media department will always communicate with the public by providing awareness flashes and directives through various media. Moreover, Hashash highlighted that ‘negative security phenomena’ such as harassment, reckless driving and the use of fireworks would not be tolerated
