Airlines And Travel Offices Must Abide By Dgca Laws
We have 50 certified airlines and about 500 travel offices and a lot of electronic applications that require owners to fall under the umbrella of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation and abide by its laws,” said Raed Al-Taher, air traffic controller at the DGCA.
He told the Al-Anba daily that an agreement has to be reached on the unification of the prices of tickets with the approval of the airlines and the decision concerning all local offices and websites.
In an interview with the Al-Anba daily, he stressed the importance of passengers booking tickets from the approved office, making sure of the correct data such as name, destination, flight dates and must pay attention when booking the ticket number, which must be of 13 digits, in order to avoid confusion and the issue of fake tickets.
Al-Taher added that the DGCA expects that by 2020 the four airports will be able to handle about 16.644 million passengers both arrivals and departures, and said, “we have 50 registered airliners and we aspire to increase the number of these companies in the next phase. We now have two new which will soon be in service – the Moroccan Airlines and Iran’s Kish,” he said.
