Assembly Renew Confidence In Hind Al-sabeeh
The National Assembly, in its special session on Wednesday, renewed confidence in the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh. A total of 29 members rejected the no-confidence motion presented against the minister, 13 voted in favor while three abstained.
Speaking to reporters after the session, Al-Sabeeh vowed to work on the path of reform and correct all mistakes and imbalances in government bodies under her supervision. She promised to enforce the law properly, prevent corruption and provide the best services to the public. She said, “Our slogan will be the institution of people, not the institutionalization of institutions.” She pointed out the advantages of the interpellation such as the opportunity to present the achievements of employees under her jurisdiction, uncover fl aws and prevent possible problems. “We are just humans who make mistakes, but I affirm that we are the ones who admit mistakes and correct them. We are in a State of institutions and the institutions we supervise will continue to facilitate work and provide the best services to the public,” she added.
;She thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his continuous support and guidance in the implementation of reforms, preventing corruption and serving citizens. She also expressed gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his guidance and support every time she meets him, in addition to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah who keeps on stressing the need to hold accountable those proven to have neglected their duties.
