Bloggers Allegedly Used Social Media To Post Blogs To Insult Client
Lawyer En’am Haider, on behalf of her client — the Board Chairman of Kuwait Gulf Link Company (KGL) Saeed Ismail Dashti — submitted a petition against 44 bloggers who allegedly used the social media to post some blogs that are regarded malicious and insulting to her client. She explained that her client is the board chairman of KGL, which was established on May 1, 1982 with the aim of offering land and sea transportation services for passengers and commodities. The company also carries out customs clearance, shipping, maintenance and other related services as well as manufacturing and trading in detergents, road emergencies and farming activities. Lawyer Haider revealed that her client was surprised to see posts on Twitter website accompanied with photographs wherein he was insulted and verbally attacked. She affirmed the suspects violated clauses 1, 2 and 3 of Article No. 27 of the publishing and distribution law.
