Brigadier Assaulted And Beaten By A Police Officer

A police officer in the rank of a Lieutenant has been detained for investigation for insulting and beating brigadier, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the incident happened inside one of the departments of the Ministry of Interior.

The suspect reportedly tore off his insignia and went to the office of the senior official and assaulted him. The daily following the incident other employees of the department intervened to separate the men and informed the security authorities about the incident.

Al-Rai learned from a security source the fight was over a disagreement between the two officers. The same source said officials at the Ministry of Interior have decided to conduct an administrative investigation with the officer, instead of filing a case, and take appropriate action in light of the outcome of the investigations
