Charges In Effect For Physiotherapy Services
Ministry of Health has asked all health zones, hospitals and specialized centers to start collecting fees for physiotherapy services offered to expatriates who are registered in the health insurance system.
According to the letter sent by Ministry of Health, KD 5 will be collected for each remedial session of new patients who were transferred by practitioners and have to undergo maximum of 12 sessions.
Also, KD 10 will be collected from patients who were transferred by general practitioners and have received physiotherapy sessions for the same diagnosis for which he/she was transferred with maximum of 12 sessions for that diagnosis.
Furthermore, the oil sector recently issued a set of administrative sanctions to employees who are violating the regulations of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries, reports Al-Anba daily.
The new increased sanctions will begin with disciplinary action, then written notice and followed by dismissal.
The decision for dismissal should be taken without any warning in the following cases – coming for work under the influence of liquor, carrying lighters, any other inflammable materials and smoking in banned zones.
According to the circular, the new instructions are aimed at ensuring the safety of workers and the work location. Some sanctions will hold the violating worker responsible for all the losses caused by the violation he/ she committed.
In another development, Vice- Dean for Planning, Researches and Laboratories Affairs at the College of Business Administration in Kuwait University Dr Essam Al-Rabe’an recently participated in a meeting of experts in Greece last month to evaluate course units related to “Learning for Fairness Initiative” at the tertiary education level. Dr Al-Rabe’an said the idea came through the United Nations’ “Learning for Fairness Initiative” and extended to the global declaration program for Doha. He stated all colleges in the university will teach tertiary education ethics course, and some experts have been assigned to design 14 course units, in addition to 35 international experts selected to evaluate the syllabi. He is delighted to be among the selected few reviewing the course.
