Court Acquitted A Woman Who Was Accused Of Swindling Money From A Kuwaiti

The Misdemeanor Circuit of the Court of First Instance acquitted a woman who was accused of swindling money from a Kuwaiti citizen after convincing him to invest in her investment project. Defending the woman was Lawyer Mohammad Khalil Al-Qattan who explained that the crime of swindling, as per articles 231 and 232 of the Penal Code involves three factors, which are use of methods of deceit, possessing the victim’s money and criminal intention. He stressed that the case file does not include any information about the methods of deceit his client allegedly used for the plaintiff to give his money to her, adding that it also does not include any documents or receipts that prove his client had taken any money from the plaintiff.
