Court Ordered A Citizen To Pay Kd 30,000 To Buy A House For Her Divorced Daughter

13 December 2015 Kuwait

The Personal Status Court, chaired by Judge Badar Al- Sawwagh, ordered to pay ‘divorced’ daughter KD 30,000 to buy house and KD 500 per month for her expenditures. Case files indicate that Attorney Hamoud Al-Rad’aan, who represented the daughter in court, accused the citizen of neglecting his divorced daughter and severing ties with her, especially since he knew that his daughter needed help after her divorce. The lawyer argued that the daughter receives KD 723 as her pension, but most of it goes to installments amounting to KD 331 and house rent of KD 350. This is in addition to the fact that she has three children.
