Court Ordered A Company To Pay Egyptian Employee Salary

29 April 2016 Kuwait

The Labor Court presided over by Judge Abdullah Al-Jasser ordered a company to pay an Egyptian employee his complete end-of-service indemnity and dues including leave salaries and delayed monthly salaries without referring the case to the Experts Department. Lawyer Tamer Mubarak explained that his client was employed in the company as a supervisor but he never used to receive his salary on time due to which he submitted his resignation. However, the company did not pay the dues it owed him as well as his end-of-service indemnity. His client lodged a complaint at the Labor Relations Department of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor; but when the issue still remained unresolved, the complaint was referred to the court.
