Court Ordered The Moe To Pay Difference Of Kd 90 In Housing Allowance

The Administrative Court ordered the Ministry of Education to pay difference of KD 90 in housing allowance adding up to KD 3,420 to an expatriate female teacher starting from Jan 15, 2012 until the end of her service on Aug 30, 2014. The lawsuit filed by Lawyer Abdullah Ahmad Al-Kanderi on behalf of his client indicated the plaintiff was paid monthly housing allowance of KD 60 in 2011 until the Constitutional Court decided it was unconstitutional to differentiate male and female teachers in the payment of housing allowance. He presented all necessary documents to show the legitimacy of his client’s request.
