The Court of Appeals has upheld the verdict issued by the Court of First Instance that rejected a lawsuit filed by a Kuwaiti citizen against his mother through which he asked the court to refer his mother to psychiatric institution to determine the soundness of her mind in terms of her ability and awareness to conduct business, especially with regard to transferring the ownership of her properties to her daughters. Representing the mother was Lawyer Fatima Al-Shatti who explained that the court has the expertise for cross-examining her client to determine her mental status. Anything out of that course would have a negative impact on her client and those around her. Also, the plaintiff did not provide any evidences which would suggest that his mother is not in a sound state of mind.
