Court Sentenced 2 Women To 2 Weeks Imprisonment With Hard Labor For Stealing Mobile Phone

16 February 2018 Crime News

The Misdemeanors Court sentenced one of two women to two weeks in jail with hard labor for stealing a male citizen’s mobile phone, damaging his vehicle intentionally, and sending him insulting and threatening text messages. The court refrained from issuing its verdict on the other woman and ordered her to maintain good conduct. Case files indicate the two women were involved in a love triangle with the citizen who accused them of stealing his mobile phone, damaging his vehicle intentionally, and sending him insulting and threatening text messages. Attorney Yousef Hussein, lawyer for the plaintiff, told the court that the two women conspired to steal his client’s phone and damage his car, while one of them sent insulting messages and posted abusive and threatening texts on the social media platform. In his presentation which was backed with substantial evidence, Hussein demanded for temporary civil compensation of KD 5,001 for the emotional and material damages that his client suffered.
