Court Sentenced A Citizen To 5 Years In Prison With Labor And Kd 5000 Fine

The Criminal Court sentenced a citizen to five years in prison with labor and KD 5,000 fine. The court also ordered the confiscation and deletion of immoral content from his mobile device before referring civil aspect of the case to the relevant court. The Public Prosecution charged the suspect for misusing social media and mobile phone by deliberately sharing immoral messages with Instagram users. Lawyer Azbi Al-Namran representing the plaintiff requested the utmost penalty against the suspect to deter others from following the trend in future. He pointed out detectives from e-crimes unit have proven the account actually belongs to the suspect, and he admitted the crime.
