Court Sentenced A Twitter User To Four Years Imprisonment

The Court of Appeals sentenced a Twitter user to four years in prison with hard labor in a State security case as he was found guilty of transgressing the entity of HH the Amir by posting phrases deemed offensive.

The Public Prosecution accused the defendant of publicly transgressing the entity of HH the Amir through posting words which are deemed offensive to His Highness and his authority and office, and that the defendant committed the crime intentionally and misused his mobile phone through his personal account on Twitter.
