Court Set To Hear The Lawsuit Of Journalist To Withdrawal His Citizenship

The Administrative Court is set to hear the lawsuit filed by Journalist Sa’ad Al-Ajmi to challenge the withdrawal of his citizenship Thursday. Earlier, the Court of Appeals had nullified the ruling of the Court of First Instance and referred the case to the Administrative Section, saying the court wasn’t competent to look into the issue. It is worthy of note that Al-Ajmi posted on his Twitter page that he withdrew the cases filed with K u w a i t i courts over the restoration of his citizenship, and expressed gratitude to HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for allowing his return to the country. He also thanked heads of the two authorities and lawmakers who facilitated his return. His legal representative Lawyer Hamoud Al-Hajeri declared the citizenship of his client was revoked due to his membership of Al-Nasr Club in Saudi Arabia.
