Disciplinary Action Was Taken Against One Of The Heads Of A Police Station For Disrespecting A Former Senior Officer Of The Moi

Following the report which was published by the Al-Rai daily recently that disciplinary action was taken against one of the heads of a police station for ‘disrespecting’ a former senior officer (retired Lt General) of the Ministry of Interior, the Assistant Undersecretary for General Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Sheikh Faisal Al- Nawaf, has issued instructions to all senior officers of the public security affairs, especially the heads of police stations to treat well the visitors, specifically retirees from the Ministry of Interior who have rendered services to the homeland, reports Al-Rai daily.

Major-General Al-Nawaf is said to have issued a circular to all senior officials on the subject saying the officials must adhere to the rules, including good reception of the visitors and dealing with them properly and promptly.

“The Undersecretary of Public Security Affairs has asked the senior officials to implement the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah and his deputy Issam Al-Nham to portray a good picture of the Ministry of Interior and to pay the Ministry of Interior retirees sufficient attention in recognition of their services .

Al-Rai pointed out earlier the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah had ordered the transfer of the head of one of the police stations to the Department of Protection of Vital Facilities which was seen as a disciplinary act, for not dealing properly with a retired high ranked officer of the Ministry of Interior who had gone to the police station to file a complaint
