Domestic Labor Office Worker Acquitted By Court Of Cheating

The Criminal Court of First Instance acquitted an employee of a domestic labor office who was accused of incitement towards fixing prices for recruiting workers, an act that was considered as hurting competitors, because he did it via a recorded audio clip posted on social

defendant counsel Lawyer Abdullah Al-Elanda argued that procedures of the investigations were faulty and the allegation against his client was in violation of Articles 1 and 4 of the Law No. 10/2007 concerning competition protection.

He stressed that the contents of the recorded audio clip did not call for fixing prices of labor recruitment, especially since his client was aware of the market dynamics and structure that do not allow such an act. Lawyer Al-Elanda affirmed that the clip only discussed the best way to handle the price issue, relative to expenses incurred by the offices and sponsorship of the workers.
