Doubt On Sergeants Degrees Obtained Form Weak Universities Of Egypt In Last 5 Years
MP Ahmad Al-Fadhel has requested the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah to provide him the list of sergeants who have obtained Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degrees over the last five years from ‘weak’ universities in Egypt based on which they were promoted to higher ranks, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Fadhel has called on the minister to question and investigate this issue and take due action. Al-Fadhel says it is surprising the Ministry of Higher Education approved these certificates, which are inevitably forged, because the holders obtained them while they were at work in Kuwait.
He also called on the ministry to close the unnecessary disciplines and that scholarships must be only for the needed specializations. He has promised to expose the subject and announce the names after he gets sufficient information. “We have the files of each ministry and what happens inside these ministries, so every minister must prepare himself/ herself and be ready to answer queries. We will not hold the current ministers responsible for the mistakes of others, but it is their responsibility to rectify the mistakes.
