Egyptian And Kuwaiti Arrested In Multiple Robberies

An Egyptian expatriate and a Kuwaiti citizen were arrested for committing 12 cases of thefts in restaurants, shops and cafés this year. The third suspect who is a Kuwaiti citizen is yet to be arrested, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the ministry explained that General Department for Criminal Evidences received information about thefts committed in a number of restaurants, shops and cafés. Immediately, a team was formed to conduct investigations.

Eventually, the suspects were discovered to be a 2000-born Egyptian expatriate, a 1997-born Kuwaiti citizen and a 2001-born Kuwaiti. After confirming the information and taking necessary steps, the first suspect, the Egyptian, was arrested.

When questioned, he confessed to stealing from shops and cafés in Sharq, Ardiya Industrial Area and Qurain Market with the help of the second and third suspects. Securitymen then arrested the second suspect who was referred with the first suspect to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the third suspect.
