Egyptian Engineer Dies In Switchboard Blast

Egyptian engineer Mohammad Obaid died due to critical injuries he had sustained in an explosion which ripped a power transformer in Salwa three days earlier.

Another Egyptian engineer who works with him at the same company is under medical observation at the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).

They were employed by a company which works under contract with the Ministry of Electricity and Water.

They were conducting maintenance work on the transformers when a spark hit the switchboard and caused the blast.
