Egyptian Female Teacher Sentenced To Two-year Imprisonment In Student Murder Accusation

25 October 2019 Crime News

The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Ahmad Al-Yassin sentenced an Egyptian woman to two-year imprisonment with hard labor and a guarantee of KD 2,000 to suspend execution of the verdict.

The defendant, who used to work as a teacher, was accused of causing the death of a student Essa Al-Baloushi.

The court also referred the case to the Civil Court. Prior to the sentencing, the accused had denied all the charges leveled against her, which were mistreatment of the student, beating him until he died, and insulting him and his parents. It is worth mentioning that the incident occurred last February. Essa Al-Baloushi died after returning from school, and his parents pointed their fingers at his teacher.
