Egyptian Woman Tried To Commit Suicide

A 41-yearold Egyptian woman tried to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on her body and setting fire to herself inside the bathroom. The woman is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Al-Babtain Hospital as she sustained second-degree burns on 80 percent of her body while her respiratory system was damaged. Criminal Evidence Department officers will soon be dispatched to the woman’s house to conduct investigations. On the other hand, the woman’s husband filed a report on the suicide attempt at Khaitan Police Station. He said that after discussing with his wife the possibility of transferring her residence from dependent to the public sector, she went to the kitchen and then to the bathroom where she tried to kill herself.
