Electricity Disconnected From Bachelors Houses

Electricity has been cut off in six out of 75 houses where violations were uncovered in Block 12, Salmiya as a preliminary step towards evicting bachelors from the area. The remaining houses are awaiting for issuance of legal documents, informed Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad AlManfouhi.

Salmiya Block 12 been transformed into a ‘hub’ for bachelors who caused unpleasant environment to families living in the neighborhood, especially some houses that were turned into studios and apartments without taking into consideration the law and the rights of neighbors, he said.

The transformation of the block 12 into a commercial residential area is under the jurisdiction of the Planning Department, he added.
