The Ministry of Health is keen on addressing the problems of some expatriates who want to pay their health insurance online for renewal of visa or those entering the country for the first time, as the manual payment system was cancelled effective July 28, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed Palestinians are among those facing problems; as well as expatriates whose residency permits are valid for more than three months, those with newborns (new birth certificate), those with new passports, those whose passportsā validity was extended, children of expatriates who reached 17 or 18 years old, and those who changed their names in their passports.
Sources affirmed the ministry is working towards the completion of transactions for these expatriates through the temporary manual payment system.
Sources added the online system was launched towards the end of January, indicating that more than one million online payments have been completed as of July.
Sources said the health insurance centers will close officially on Sunday, disclosing the ministry used these centers for 14 days.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electricity and Water has announced that 69 percent of its workers confirmed the availability of information needed to perform their tasks efficiently to better serve the citizens and complete transactions quickly, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.
