Plan For New Proposal That Expat Should Leave Country To Claim Indemnity Benefits

Kuwait is planning to bring a new proposal which propose that an expat must provide a document proving that they are leaving the country to receive their indemnity if they are terminated or resign from their jobs in the public or private sector.

According to local newspaper, this proposal is aim to deal with the population structure. Several executive measures on iqama trafficking and Kuwaitization are planned as part of this, reports added. 

The plan also envisages stopping granting licenses for some professions and dealing with some communities whose numbers have grown too much. The sources said it was agreed to hold the meeting during the month of Ramadan, and it will include agreeing on the plan and the legislations it requires to be eventually presented to the National Assembly.
