Expired Medicines Found In Sabhan Stores Of The Ministry Of Interior

The State Audit Bureau has found medicines worth KD 7.5 million in the Sabhan stores of the Ministry of Interior. The medicines reportedly expired in 2012, 2013 and 2014, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Bureau said the Ministry has yet to find ways to get rid of these medicines. The ministry said it has supplied drugs worth KD 3 million upon the request of the Radiation Protection Commission to prevent the spread of the bird flu epidemic and the medicines were purchased after getting approval from the Council of Ministers as a precautionary measure in the best interest of public health.
