Fake Cop Caught Harassing Students

A 9-second video clip showing a woman, believed to be African, beating an unidentified man has gone viral, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the victim is allegedly in his 40s, driving a posh car and is heard asking the woman the name of her sponsor and threatening to do all he can to deport her from the country. Why the woman beat the man is not known, but the clip is made by another woman.

A lance corporal from the Ministry of Interior donning the uniform of lieutenant has been detained at the Hawalli Police Station for harassing female students of an institute affiliated to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the arrest came after police patrols spotted the man harassing students and when he was told to show his ID, he said he did not carry the document, but behavior showed he did not respect the law, and this prompted the arrest of the man.

According to a security source, the suspect shall be referred to the Directorate- General for Control and Inspection for legal action which may result in his dismissal from service. Investigations showed he went to one of the military tailors who made a uniform with the insignia.
