Fatwa Gives Nod To Hire Over 400 Kuwaiti Lawyers
The names of those who are accepted to work as ‘lawyers’ in the Fatwa and Legislation Department are ready to be announced and that they will be notified of the appointment within two days or by Wednesday, April 10, the latest , reports Al-Anba daily quoting senior sources.
The sources explained that the Fatwa and Legislation Department has agreed to accept more than 400 Kuwaitis to work as lawyers provided they meet the conditions. In a related development, sources familiar with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) told the daily the announcement of the names of the selected persons is the responsibility of the concerned minister.
The sources pointed out that it is not true that there is a malfunction in the system because of maintenance, and called ‘incorrect news’ in reference to what was published by one of the ministries that the delay in upgrading the degrees by choice was due to disruption of the system at the CSC due to maintenance work. According to the sources, the mechanism adopted to resolve the promotions by choice includes that each ministry or government agency, upon completion of the evaluation of its employees, submits it to the Personnel Committee for considerati
