Fire Erupts In Pile Of Used Tyres In Scrapyard
Fire engulfed a huge pile of used tyres in a scrapyard in Mina Abdullah area. No casualties were reported. According to a press release, the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate dispatched three fire teams to the location after receiving information about the fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread over an area of 500 square meters. They surrounded the fire from all angles and managed to extinguish it completely after three hours of tremendous effort. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, acting on information firemen from three fire centers, Shuwaikh Industrial Area, Shuhada and Ardhiya rushed to the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and put out fire to three garages, reports Al-Rai daily. No human casualties have been reported.
Prompt response from firemen prevented more damage to the surrounding areas. And,fire broke out among a pile of garbage at the entrance of a building in Farwaniya area. In a press release, the Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) explained that firefighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics after receiving information about the burning pile of garbage very close to a residential building.
They immediately extinguished the fire before it spread to the building. No casualties were reported. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire
