Govt Determined To Crack Down On Holders Of Fake Certificates
The Cabinet on Monday commended Ministry of Higher Education for cracking down government employees – citizens and expatriates – whose education certifi cate were fake. The ministry has been examining university certificates of government employees and referred many of them to Public Prosecution after concluding their certifi- cates were fake.
The Cabinet, chaired by Acting Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, is determined to take legal action against people with fake certificates and pursue those who facilitated acquisition of these certificates, Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said in a statement after the Cabinet meeting.
Meanwhile, the government assigned the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) to prepare an executive plan for the construction and operation of Kuwait Airport’s Terminal Two (T2). DGCA should specify the timetable for the construction and operation, and to notify the Cabinet about any obstacles facing implementation, said Al-Saleh.
The government, meanwhile, assigned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) to coordinate with the Foreign Ministry to review and activate an agreement between KPC and China’s institute for insurance of exports and credit. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled briefed the Cabinet about recent visits by foreign ministers of Malta and Afghanistan, and their talks with senior officials which dealt with bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
The government congratulated Iraqi President Barham Saleh for his election, and Adel Abdulmahdi for his assignment to form a government.
