Grand Hyper Launches First Department Store

One of region’s major retailer Grand Hyper has further expanded its presence in the State of Kuwait by opening its maiden department store @ Mekkah Street in Fahaheel.

The Grand Department Store, which is also the group’s 8th store in Kuwait, was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Dawood Dawood Salman Al Sabah in the presence of Mr. Nizar Al Oraifan, Regency Group Dubai Managing Director Dr. Anvar Ameen, Jassim Mohamed Khamis AlSharrah, Grand Hyper Regional Director Ayyoob Kachery, Regency Group Executive Director Aboobacker Mohamed,

Grand Hyper Kuwait General Manager Thehaseer Ali, CEO Mohammed Suneer and other several high-ranking officials from various government departments and representatives from local business communities.

Located at Grand Mall in South Kuwait, the new 25,000-sq-ft store will serve the residents of Ahmadi Governorate with a one-stop shopping destination for Kuwaitis and expatriate community alike. Shoppers can look forward to the best and biggest range of apparels & footware, electronics & home appliances, luggage & linen, toys & stationary, cosmetics etc. at most affordable prices. 

Immediately after the inaugural ceremony, thousands of people rushed into the department store at the mezzanine floor of Grand Mall to take advantage of the inaugural offers and promotions. A large number of people including families and children thronged all sections of the newly opened department store, from supermarket area at the basement floor, creating an atmosphere of festival in the mall.

Apart from the inaugural offers and promotions, the management of Grand Hyper has also set up various discounts and sales in the hypermarket section for the coming Ramadan season.

The group has also plans to open 4 more hypermarkets by the end of 2017 apart from Grand Hyper Khaithan store getting ready to be opened by the end of next month. As always, Grand Hyper provides the widest range of quality and value-for-money products all under one roof.
