Guilty Will Be Caught, Innocent Will Go Free
As usual in dealing with humanitarian issues, the Ministry of Interior responded quickly in the case of the pregnant Syrian woman who is accused of begging for alms, reports Al-Rai daily.
However, Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah and Undersecretary of the Ministry Lt General Essam Al- Naham has ordered an investigation into the case. Al-Rai daily learned immediately after the news was published, the Syrian husband (Abu Ali) received a call from the security information department to listen to his side of the story and see what documents are in his possession to prove his ‘claim’.
The woman who is in her seventh month of pregnancy was allegedly caught red-handed begging for alms from passers-by as she waited for her husband in front of the Al-Jahra Hospital, and she confessed and admitted to this during the interrogation.
A security source stressed the Ministry of Interior does not target any particular nationality. The innocent will get their rights and the wrongdoers will be punished even if one of the employees of the Ministry of Interior is subject of accountability and failure in application of the law.
