Head Of Kuwait Fishermen Union Says The Quantity Of Shrimps Fished On The First Day Of The Season Reached 52 Baskets
Head of Kuwait Fishermen Union Zaher Al-Souyan says the quantity of shrimps fished on the first day of the season reached 52 baskets, but this quantity did not meet the expectations. He expressed his hope that the coming days will witness the fishing of more quantities of shrimps to meet the demands of the market.
Indicating that he wishes the prices will be suitable for the consumers, Al-Souyan revealed that the turnout of customers for buying shrimps and local fish was high. He disclosed that the cost of a basket of shrimps weighing 22.5 kilograms to 23 kgs ranged between KD 75 and KD 82, adding that there were times in the past when baskets of shrimps were sold at KD 90 each
