The Highway Police patrols have arrested two people, a Kuwaiti, in his 50s and a 30-year-old Iranian for stealing power cables from a power transformer from a school located in the Khairan housing area, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after an unidentified Kuwaiti saw the men at work and called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior. When police rushed to the spot, the suspect reportedly escaped from the area leaving behind their tools and two gas cylinders. However, the Kuwaiti noted the car plate number and informed the police. The information of the car was relayed to all police patrols and the suspects were subsequently arrested in Mina Abdullah while attempting to escape. The suspects, who have admitted to the charge, have been detained at the Al-Nuwaiseeb Police Station.
