His Holiness Catholicos Aram I Inaugurates St Vartanantz Church And The Prelacy In Salwa Area

On Friday, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia inaugurated the newly-constructed St Vartanantz Church and the Prelacy in Salwa area. In his speech, His Holiness Aram I praised the State of Kuwait for its religious tolerance, describing it as a place where various religions practice their faiths freely.

He commended the care and support given by the leaders of this country to everyone, calling upon the people of Kuwait to be proud of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who is characterized with strong leadership and vision, which was quite evident to him during his meeting with His Highness the Amir.

His Holiness Aram I rebuffed the attempts of the Western media to portray the Arman community as being troubled by Muslims. He stressed that terrorism is not affecting only the Christian world but also the Islamic world, insisting that the solution lies in cultivation. He said the Middle East is the birthplace of Christianity and Islam, and that Christianity will always remain in the region.
