Huge Fire Broke Out Inside A Store
A huge fire broke out inside a store in Shuwaikh Industrial Area, spreading over an area of 2,000 meters. No casualties were reported but heavy material losses had incurred.
According to a press release, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the fire, fire-fighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics.
They discovered that the fire had spread through two fl oors of the store which contained electrical, sanitary and plastic goods. Fire-fighters extinguished the fire before it spread further. High-ranking officials were present at the site. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, fire broke out in a house in Salwa area.
A Kuwaiti woman, who lives in the house, sustained a foot injury while trying to escape. According to a press release issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), when the Control Room of KFSD received information about the house on fire, fire-fighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics. Fire-fighters extinguished the fire within a short time, while paramedics referred the Kuwaiti woman to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
