India Kuwait Joint Working Group Meets On Labour And Employment In Kuwait

Indian and Kuwait are jointly holding Working Group meeting on Labour, Employment and Manpower Development between the two countries. High level officials from India are attending the two day meeting which started in Kuwait on Wednesday, 25th of April. The meeting will continue on Thursday.

The Joint Working Group are expected to discuss various labour and employment issues related to Indian community in Kuwait. According to sources, the Indian side are expected to discuss various points including the recent restriction imposed by Kuwait on the residency r renewal of Engineers, which in turn affected large number of Indian Engineers in the country. The Joint working group meeting is also expected to discuss the Nurses recruitment from India which is long time pending. The issues of Indian workers in various companies such as Kharafi National are also expected to discuss during the two day meeting.

The last Joint Working group meeting between India and Kuwait was held in 2016 at New Delhi.
