Indian Grocery Store Edee In Salmiya Shut Down By The Ministry Inspectors

Popular Indian grocery store Edee in Salmiya has been shut down today by the ministry inspectors following increased supervision in the area for violations of ministry of health directives. The store which is frequented mostly by Indian nationals was sealed in the morning after inspectors visited the store and found violations such as overcrowding and disregard for MoH protocols such as maintaining distance, workers not wearing masks and gloves and hand sanitizers not being provided at the entrance.

The ministry is also imposing fines on grocery stores and supermarkets for raising prices and over charging customers and taking advantage of the situation. Indian nationals have seen a spike in the number of infection since the last few days with 79 new cases today and total of more than 150 Indians infected and more than thousand in quarantine.
