Inquiry Launched Into Kuwaiti Military Students Death

An inquiry was launched to investigate the circumstances surrounding the recent deaths of two Kuwaiti military students.

Kuwait First Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Shaikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah ordered the probe following the death, last Thursday, of student officer Faisal Al-Obaid, who was enrolled at the 47th batch of the Ahmed Al-Jaber Airbase.

The Kuwaiti Armed Force General Command announced the death of another university military student cadet enrolled at the Ali Al-Sabah College.

The Ministry of Health has set up a neutral probe committee to re-examine all students enrolled at the two military academic institutions and review the medical and nutritional services in addition to the impact of physical training on students.

The Kuwait Army Staff Command said that results of the probe would be announced in total transparency.
