Inspections Organised At Domestic Labor Offices

The Competition Protection Authority has disclosed that the judicial control teams affiliated to it organized inspection campaigns for a period of three days on domestic labor offices in various areas especially Hawally, Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh to uncover any monopolistic unions in the domestic labor market, reports Aljarida daily.

Head of the authority Rashid Al-Ajmi said the campaigns were carried out to ensure these offices do not make any agreement among themselves to harm competitors and exploit the local market. He stressed that the campaigns were organized to activate the role of the authority in protecting competition in the market.

Al-Ajmi highlighted that the teams alerted the owners of these offices concerning the need to abide by the laws regulating the labor market in tandem with activation of the provisions of Law No. 10/2017 regarding protection of competition through which the authority was established.

He affirmed that the efforts of the authority are in line with its oversight role, adding that the authority will absolutely not allow any manipulation and monopolization which some quarters might exploit to infl ict harm on the market and on the Kuwaiti economy as well as the interests of citizens and residents.
