Don’t Travel To Iraq, Americans Warned

The US has renewed warning to its nationals against traveling travel to Iraq due to growing risks of terrorism and kidnapping. “Do not travel to Iraq due to terrorism, kidnapping, and armed conflict,” the US State Department stated in its update of the travel advisory on Wednesday. “US citizens in Iraq are at high risk for violence and kidnapping.” It argued that numerous terrorist and insurgent groups are active in Iraq and regularly attack both Iraqi security forces and civilians. “The US government’s ability to provide routine and emergency services to US citizens in Iraq is extremely limited,” it pointed out.
