Interpol Has Launched To Find And Arrest Filipina Maid Killers
Interpol has launched an extensive search to find and arrest the suspected criminals who placed the corpse of a Filipina woman inside a freezer, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to reports broadcasted by news agencies, the Director of Social Welfare at Overseas Manpower Department Hans Leu Kakdack oversaw the transfer of the remains of the victim Joanna Daniela Demafelis to Manila.
He expressed hope for justice to be achieved in this case. He explained that the Foreign Minister of the Philippines had issued a statement after the remains arrived at Manila. As per the statement, the main suspects are a Lebanese national and his Syrian wife who left Kuwait few years ago before the crime was discovered.
The couple had criminal records as per the Kuwaiti law. Kakdack indicated that he is waiting for more details from the INTERPOL in this regard, revealing that the investigations, which are ongoing, will be covert at this stage. He affirmed his support for the family of the victim and offered them his deepest condolences.
The remains of the Filipina woman was discovered inside a freezer in the flat of the Lebanese expatriate in Shaab area on Feb 9. Forensic examination on the corpse revealed fractures on the chest area and that the victim suffered from internal bleeding before she died.
